For a trip to Indonesia, most plan on relaxing on the beautiful beaches under the coconut trees, then some like also to discover what the nature has more incredible to offer.
Indonesia is a massive archipelago and a land of volcanoes. There are about 500 in volcanoes in Indonesia and about 100 are still active.
Fancy a walk? Not only you can photography these volcanoes, but you can trek (by night or day), and you will come back with an incredible experience, unique and unforgettable.
Mount Batur in Bali is a nice experience specially to watch sunrise and if you’re not feeling like going on a big trekking trip as it will take maximum 7h to walk up and down.
Kawah Ijen in East Jawa is also an incredible experience, watching by night the beautiful phenomenon which the blue lava is and you will feel like being on another planet;
Here is our favourite, Mount Rinjani in Lombok. We love it because it’s close to Gili Islands so after the hard journey we know where to go to relaxing! Rinjani is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. You can choose to go to the edge of the crater (2D/1N), or even higher up to the summit, this will take 3days and 2nights. After this long journey, be assured that you will reach fairy landscapes.
